UCD was losing 49-51 with 0:17 to go. Were at the 48 yd ln ready to do a field goal...then when we get a false start and go back 5 yards. Now the kicker cant kick the ball this far and were forced to throw it. Hailmary from the 53 yd ln with no time left on the clock and on to win the game...

Dana & Desirae

Hey Guys
So I had another great wedding this past Sunday with Dana and Desirae. Lets just say that Desirae is a complete bundle of joy, with so much sincerity, energy and excitement, she definitely set the tone for the wedding. Not to mention she can do 10 pull ups. The wedding was held in Walnut Creek in the afternoon and I could easily say thaat everything went flawlessly. Hope you guys have a great time in Barcelona

The Governator

So, 2 friends and I were on campus going out for a graduating celebratory lunch last Friday when we bike by and see nearly 20 or 30 police men by Freeborn Hall blocking the road. We walk by and after getting severely hassled by Officer Pulsinger, we find out that Arnold Schwarzenegger and the President of Venezuela are at our campus!! We freak out thinking how cool this could be, to see Hugo Chavez in all his poorly planned land policies glory. :) After a moment to cool off, we then realize that this cop didn't even know what he was talking about and it was actually the President of Chile here. Nonetheless, we were excited and needed to figure out how to get in. Luckily, I am now the Aggie photo editor and have access to all sorts off goodies, such as an unlimited supply of "Photographer" business cards. Well, we go down to the Aggie, pick up a few cameras, and a few business cards and make our way over to Freeborn for the press conference. After a quick second with the head of security, we are given press passes and allowed to enter. I was amongst 20 other
photogs here to capture the event, which was pretty exciting for me. Anyways, here are the photos that resulted.

Hello again

So i realize it has been awhile since ive posted. A few things I suppose:
--I am now officially the photo editor for our paper for next year...Im very excited for that.
--I was awarded a $1000 grant for a policy proposal a friend and I wrote in hopes to get more sustainable water available for a select group of families in Bangladesh. Good thing is we know the money is actually going there and not get lost in the web of red tape that so often happens.
--Besides that, school is now over and wedding season officially begins!

House Fire in Davis

So I get a call from my editor at the California Aggie 5 min before my Spanish 21
class telling me there is a fire in South Davis and that they need the photos. I contemplate whether I should go to class but I knew I couldnt miss an opportunity like this. So I rush to the office, grab some equipment and go to the scene with our city editor. There are the images:

Luckily no one was inside the building minus a kitty who did die. All that was lost was material possessions and no one was hurt.

KDVS Cayenne Snorting!

KDVS Dj's had to snort cayenne peppers for every $100 donated. They went at it for $500 worth :D

Sam and Sara

I shot a great wedding in Girlroy last weekend. The couple, Sam and Sara were just awesome. There was this special tone of sincerity that I felt throughout the whole wedding, which was really refreshing to see. They made an effort to say hi and talk to each of the guests and personally thank them for coming, something you dont see too often these days. The energy and overall funness of these two was awesome, not to mention to serenade Sam did for Sara towords the end of the night :D

Hello and welcome to my first blog :D

I really want to use this just as a way to show what kind of work I do along with a cool method to communicate with clients and viewers alike

To start off, my name is Deeba Yavrom
I am one of many things...I am a student and UC Davis studying International Relations and Philosophy. I'm also a wedding photographer and I am also the staff photographer for our school paper. I'm also a pretty cool guy :D

I like driving, biking, photographing, warm weather and a good game of table tennis
